Nigerian Army show their support for MadeInNigeria

Is it the recession or is the Nigerian army genuinely showing their support for made in Nigeria products?

Following the federal government’s call to patronise

made-in Nigeria products in order to grow the economy, the Nigerian army has gone a step further by patronising indigenous manufacturers.

In a tweet shared on their official Twitter handle, the Nigerian Army revealed how they placed an order for 50,000 pairs of military grade boots, from local shoemakers in Aba, Abia state.

The Abia state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, had earlier suggested this in April, when he tried to persuade Nigerians to patronise Aba manufacturers. See a screenshot of the tweet below:
aba made 2Are they trying to cut cost due to the ongoing recession, or is this a genuine interest in made in Nigeria goods? What do you think about this?
