Olisa Metuh’s ‘critical’ health condition forces Justice Abang to adjourn case to 15th March

Chief Olisa Metuh, a former scribe of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was in a ‘critical’ health state today Monday as he arrived the Abuja Federal High Court, where he is being tried for corruption charges.

Metuh was brought in an ambulance and subsequently stretchered into the court, a sight which provoked presiding judge Justice Okon Abang to adjourn the trial to the 15th of March 2019.
Metuh’s lawyers hadbefore now informed Abang of the critical healt status of his client and had at various times sought for a ‘long adjournment’ to allow Metuh access medical treatment at the Nnamdi Azikiwe specialist hospital.
