Bede Chukwuekezie, has won the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) to fly the flag of the party in the Enugu State governorship election.
Bede won the hotly contested primary election after beating Emmanuel Ozoene.
Bede polled a grand total of 45 votes to beat his closest rival, Emmanuel Ozoene who lagged behind with just 1 vote
engr Sule Ajayi, who announced the result, said the election was the easiest and smoothest he had ever witnessed.
He said he was proud of the members of his committee, the team of observers from the party national headquarters and also the leadership of the party in the state.
We did our work the best way we could by avoiding the major actors of the election, and I can tell you that I do not know him, and even if you bring him here I do not still know him.
With the power conferred on me as the chairman of the primary election committee for APGA in Enugu State , I declare Bede the winner of the primary election.
Total number of delegates accredited for the election was 46, total votes cast 46
while 46 were adjudged valid.
The election was conducted amid tight security.
